My parents decided to send me to Tarjeta Stables for the year, and let me tell you I had a ball! I met so many new friends. I was assigned a horse and was placed into my suit – hearts. A suit is a group of other riders that compete in your riding team. It was the most fun ever, you were awarded points for your house for doing well at riding and trying hard, but points are deducted for any rule breaking. At the end of each year the suit (hearts, diamonds, clubs or spades) with the most amount of points are awarded with a trophy and the title of ‘Best Suit of the Year.’ Unfortunately when I was there clubs won for the fourth year in a row… Oh and also you get show points for doing well in lessons and competitions and you get leveled up when you reach a certain stage. Pretty much everyone is racing to the top, it’s amazing how much tension there is, and the competition is unbelievable.
No it isn’t just prancing ponies, there is definitely a lot of back stabbing and bitching, see every suit is trying so hard to win. And they train like mad; they’re all so passionate and committed. Well I guess they would be if you manage to reach the highest level you and your horses have the chance of competing over seas. It’s truly amazing this stable, it was easily the best time of my life!
